About us

A story that began over a beer.
And continues with care.

Two friends, two beds
and one garage

Behind the evobeds brand are lifelong friends Viktor Pokorný and Radim Čech. Their journey did not start in a boardroom but over a beer, complaining about how impossible it was to get a positioning bed home for their ill grandparents. So they decided to do something about it.

How it began

If you cannot buy it, borrow it. Or rather, we will lend it to you.

Both were caring for their grandparents at the time and discovered that getting an ordinary positioning bed home was an almost superhuman task. Big manufacturers would not talk to individuals. So each of them bought one bed with their own money and they opened a rental service.

Their office was a spare room, their warehouse a rented garage. They drove the beds to customers' homes, assembled them on the spot and taught families how to use them. It was not common back then. For them it was a matter of course, because they had started in the same situation themselves.

How we grew

The garage grew into Invira.
Invira grew into a dream.

Renting naturally grew into sales, because customers themselves asked for it. Today Invira has a headquarters with warehouse halls in Ostrava, helps thousands of families a year and exports across Europe. But the approach has stayed the same as at the beginning:

We deliver, assemble and demonstrate everything at your home
You can try the aid for a month and exchange it if needed
When you buy, we deduct the rental fee from the price
We refurbish older aids for those who cannot afford new ones

Milestones

From two beds
to a brand of our own

2011

An idea over a beer and the first two positioning beds bought with their own money. A rental service for the public is born.

2012

Invira s.r.o. is founded. Sales, rental and servicing of medical equipment across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

2020

The experience of thousands of families gives rise to evobeds One, our own smart positioning bed designed with a Czech designer.

2022

evobeds enters other European markets. Beds made in the Czech Republic start serving families and facilities abroad.

Today evobeds takes care of the brand, sales and customer care, while Invira handles production, service and logistics. Every bed is created in collaboration between developers, healthcare professionals and caring families, because we know exactly what it means to care for someone close to you.

Development, production and assembly all take place in the Czech Republic. A Class I medical device under the MDR.
